2017 BMW Coding V3 Lite – Released!This version is a lite version of the V3 VM. It contains only a portion of software included with V3 and a few changes. It’s great for things such as: coding features, ppk, alpina b3, and battery registration. The 7-zipped file comes with two VM files (VirtualBox and VMware Workstation) and 1 disk file. Setup Instructions:
1. Download and Install 7-zip (Windows –http://www.7-zip.org/download.html) or Keka (Mac –http://download.kekaosx.com/)
2. Unzip BMWC0dingV3Lite.7z (takes about 45 minutes)
3. Double-click BMWC0dingV3Lite-VirtualBox or BMWC0dingV3Lite-VMwareWorkstation based on what you are using.
4. Enjoy!
Optional: 5. Shutdown VM and change RAM/Memory settings to 4096MB (4GB) for better performance. Note: Only do this if your system has 8GB of RAM/Memory or more.

Everything will run native on Win XP-Win 10. There’s no need to use a VM unless it’s a Mac. I’m running BMW Standard Tools 2.12, ISTA, and Esys on a old Dell Win 7 I picked up just for coding.

Here is a simple android emulator for anyone wanting to run android based apps such as MHD & Xhp on their PC or MAC. I’ve done everyone the favor of pre-loading Carly Pro on there as well. Enjoy!

Here’s the basics:
-You need VirtualBox downloaded installed along with the VirtualBox extension pack installed.
-Once the above is installed, simply place the OVA file where you would like it to be stored, double click & import.
-Its based on x64 Android so if it doesn’t run correctly make sure virtualization is enabled in your bios.
-To use Carly, you need a K-DCAN cable, Bluetooth adapters wont work with the emulator.

Question: Are you sure its 64 bit? When I run it it says it is x86(which is 32 bit isnt it?) How do I switch to 64 bit?
Answer: I’ll double check when I get home but I’m 100% sure it’s x64.
Question:Is it possible to have a x86 64bit version? The main issue is that apparently x86 type processors don’t work with xHP. I’m confused now though because there are x86-64bit, so maybe its not whether its a 32 bit or 64 but rather x86 vs IA vs whatever. xHP claims that the x86 architecture is the issue. Do you have an image that isn’t x86 based?
Answer: Awesome… I think I found the issue. I tried running your image as a 32 bit (which is what we don’t want) and it failed. But it let me know that this is indeed x86-64bit. So this is a 64bit version but it’s on x86 architecture/instruction set.
I was 100% sure I downloaded the x64 android.
