Skoda Amundsen Maps Download
Mar 22, 2016 VOLKSWAGEN NAVIGATION/SEAT/SKODA This is a guide for update the maps on your Volkswagen navigation from the factory works the same one SEAT/SKODA Golf/Leon/Octavia volkswagen navigation Hi guys. Maps are updated twice per year, usually during calendar week CW25 and CW45. ŠKODA AUTO reserves a right to change the date of the update and possibility of outdated maps.
In order to update your GPS device: Skoda Columbus Firmware 3XXX with the latest update, follow next instructions.
First of all, be sure you got the update file for your Skoda Columbus Firmware 3XXX device, downloaded from SpeedcamUpdates.com.
If still haven't got it, you can get it now filling the form you see on this page.
- Extract files from the SpeedcamUpdates zip package. If the file you have downloaded is not a ZIP file means the file is already decompressed, and you can continue with the next step of this installation instructions.
- Insert an SD card into your PC and extract the contents of the zip file downloaded from SpeedcamUpdates.com into the SD card.
- Press button SETUP on the right side of your Skoda Columbus Firmware 3XXX GPS device.
- Touch the Navigation button on the screen.
- Touch Personal POI button on the screen.
- Touch import button on the screen.
- Press the button to import data.
- Finally press OK button to finish import process.
- Now you can setup the speed cameras categories to set the distance alert.
Remember you can customize freely your download. Get access to the customer control panel and using the customization tool in order to get a customized speedcam database according to your needs. You will need this tool if your device doesn't accept the size of the new update. You can add and remove countries speedcam data to your current setup.

SD CARD INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Insert the SD card into the navigation unit, when the pop up menu comes up press the assign button, once assigned another pop up menu will appear asking you to use SD or install, please press the install button on the screen. Please note it can take up to 2 hours for the maps to be fully uploaded, the navigation system will continue where it left off even after turning off the engine. When it is finished you will get a prompt to say it has finished if you miss the prompt you will see another screen saying 'installed files v9' 'files on sd card v9 ' in either of those circumstances it is safe to remove the card from the slot.
Please keep hold of the original card, once installed it is locked to your system only and is unusable in another vehicle and you may need it in the future.
