I might have been able to live with some of the gear hunting/confusion, but the one issue that just kills me every time, is a delay from pressing the pedal until the vehicle accelerates when I am in a coast at approximately 15-25mph. I can literally press the pedal, count 1, 2.and then the truck revs aggressively and kicks into gear as if it's now overcompensating for the delay as opposed to what should have just been a gradual increase in speed. This doesn't happen every time, but it happens often enough that it is an obvious flaw and it has never improved post update. And once and just once, I pressed the pedal and it just didn't react at all, it was just dead, then I released it and pressed again and it accelerated. I have never in my entire 24 years of driving experienced a dead pedal until this brand new 2018 Tacoma. The update I am referencing flashes the computer of the truck and the same calibration id was released to combat a number of issues known by Toyota.
